1910 Punch cards are some of most sought after Cuban cards that exist, even for the most advanced collectors. Many are unaware that they were originally issued with backings. That's because out of the 100 or so Punch cards that are known, only 4 have the original backing. And this is the first time one of them has ever been offered publicly. The other three have exchanged hands in private sales and currently reside in collections they are unlikely to leave any time soon, if ever. Punch cards are little photographs that were then glued onto the backing. The theory is that the album the cards were meant to be glued into, the way most Cuban cards were collected, had spaces in it that were the size of the photographs, not the full cards with the backings. So almost every Punch got peeled off the backing, much like a skinned Old Judge card. The album is mentioned on the back of the card. Measures about 1 3/4" by 2 1/4". A rare opportunity to obtain one of the Holy Grail Cuban baseball cards: a 1910 Punch card with the original backing.
