1931 Doble Aguila #197 of HOFer Martin Dihigo. Dihigo has a total of 5 cards in the 1931 and 1932 Doble Aguila sets from Venezuela. This one, while incorrectly being labeled 1932 from the geniuses at PSA, was graded a PSA 4. However, I believe this is the nicest example of any Dihigo Doble Aguila card. PSA has graded 9 total Dihigos, including 2 of card #197. This is the only 4, with none higher. SGC has graded 22 total Dihigo cards with 3 cards grading higher than this, the highest being a 5. I'm including a scan of an SGC 4 (not a part of this lot) for comparison. You can see, this card and the SGC 4 are not even close. This should be a 5 or 5.5.
As with EVERY PSA card in this auction, if you would like to crack
this one out and send it to SGC, I will pay for the grading fees if it
doesn't get a bump in grade. This is not because SGC is more lenient
than PSA. They are not. But they are more accurate. All you have to do
is send me a scan of the card once it's out of the holder, so I can see
it hasn't been damaged (it can be difficult to crack cards out safely)
and then let me know what grade SGC gave it. If it's not higher than the
PSA grade, grading fees are on me! Offer is good for 60 days after
close of auction.
