Auction Rules
Overview
Please review the following key terms before bidding (full terms available for download below). By participating in any Cuban Baseball Auctions sale, bidders agree to these conditions.
Registration
All bidders must register and receive a user ID and password before placing bids. Registration may require identity verification or credit card information as a payment guarantee, and approval may take up to 72 hours. Bidders are encouraged to register well before the auction closing date.
Bidding
All bids are binding and cannot be retracted once placed. The highest accepted bid at the end of an auction constitutes a commitment to purchase the item. Bidding follows set increments (generally 10% above the current high bid), and minimum bid levels may apply. Bid manipulation, false bids, or shill bidding are strictly prohibited.
Auction Closing
Auctions use a “15-Minute Rule.” If any bid is placed within the final minutes of the auction, the closing time extends until no additional bids are received for approximately 15 minutes.
Buyer’s Premium
A 15% buyer’s premium is added to the final hammer price of each winning lot.
Payment
Invoices are issued after the auction closes and are payable upon receipt. Full payment must be received within two weeks of the invoice date. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, money order, or Venmo. Items will not ship until payment has cleared.
Shipping
Shipping, packaging, and insurance costs are the responsibility of the buyer and will be added to the invoice. Orders are typically shipped within two weeks after payment has cleared.
Condition and Inspection
Items are described and photographed to the best of our ability. Bidders are strongly encouraged to review images carefully and request additional details prior to bidding. Lots may be viewed by appointment before the auction closes.
Returns
All sales are final. No returns are accepted.
Auction Rights
Cuban Baseball Auctions reserves the right to refuse bids, cancel or re-offer lots, restrict bidding privileges, or take other action necessary to maintain the integrity of the auction.
Acceptance of Terms
Placing a bid constitutes acceptance of the auction’s full terms and conditions.
