1910 Punch cards are one of the most desirable of all Cuban baseball card issues. They were issued as a photographic card stock glued to a backing, but almost every single example that still exists was taken off the backing and is only the photographic stock. Out of around 100 or so examples, only 4 still have the original backing. The card in this lot features Juan Viola, who had a long career in Cuba in addition to player in the United States with the Long Branch Cubans and other teams.
NOTE: 25% of the winning bid for
this lot will be donated directly to relief efforts to help the victims
of the devastating hurricanes that struck Puerto Rico and The U.S.
Virgin Islands.
