1949-50 Acebo cards, issued in Cuba, were distributed inside of matchbooks. There are 111 cards in the set. They measure about 1 3/4" by 1 1/2", with considerable size variance from card to card, and all kinds of different angles as they must have been hand cut at the factory. They can be found with several different back variations, including blank backs. This card is the blank back variation. It features Negro Leaguer Claro Duany. Duany played for the New York Cubans in the Negro Leagues and was a member of their 1947 team which won the Negro League World Series.
