1948-49 Toleteros card of Negro Leaguer Johnny Britton. Graded a 5.5 by SGC. Gorgeous example. Britton played for several teams in the Negro Leagues, but his primary team was the Birmingham Black Barons. He was teammates with Willie Mays and was the starting 3rd baseman when the Black Barons won the championship in 1948. Britton and Jimmie Newberry were the first two African American players to play in the Japanese professional league.
