1948-49 Empresa Comercial Sport card of female baseball player Josefina Rivero. These are not softball players, they are BASEBALL players! This set was issued in Venezuela and featured players in the Venezuelan professional league, amateur league, and professional women's league. As far as I am aware, these are the only playing days cards of professional women baseball players. There are 26 cards in the set. There are only 3 known examples of each card. They measure about 1 1/4" by 2 1/2" and are on quality card stock with blank backs. This is the first time any have been offered for sale publicly.
