Original real photo postcard of Cuban star, Jose "Acostica" Acosta, the younger brother of Merito Acosta. Jose followed in his brother's footsteps playing in the Major Leagues for the Washington Senators. He also played for the Chicago White Sox. He is one of the few players in history to have played in the Negro Leagues, the Major Leagues, and the Cuban League.
The postcard has been signed and inscribed by Acosta on the reverse. The embossed photographer's imprint reads "Ramon Carreras," which is interesting because Carreras was also the photographer for the 1910 Punch set.
