Lot Description  

This is the original contract for Jim "Junior" Gilliam which he signed to play the 1951-52 season for Santurce in Puerto Rico. It was signed by Gilliam on October 3rd, 1951 and also includes his fingerprint. It has also been signed (twice) by famed Santurce team owner Pedro Zorrilla. Gilliam, of course, would later have a fine career with the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers.
