1931 Doble Aguila #163 of Dominican legend Juan "Tetelo" Vargas. Vargas is, without a doubt, one of the most underrated players in baseball history. His professional baseball career spanned 34 years AS A PLAYER. He played in the Negro Leagues with the Cuban Stars and New York Cubans, appearing in several East-West games. He won batting titles in several countries. he is almost certainly became the oldest player to ever win a batting title when he led the Dominican League in hitting in 1953 when he was 47 years old. He won six championships in his adopted home of Puerto Rico where he hit .349 over an 11-year span. He played in Cuba, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and the United States. The main stadium in his home country the Dominican Republic is "El Estadio Tetelo Vargas" named after him. Tetelo Vargas should absolutely have a plaque in Cooperstown. One of the all-time greats, and one of the fastest players ever to play baseball.
