1948-49 Empresa Comercial Sport cards are among the rarest of all Venezuelan baseball card issues. There are only three examples known of each card. They measure around 2.25" by 2.75" and are on a thicker, higher quality card stock than most Latin American cards. The backs are blank. This lot features Jim Pendleton, who most know as a Major Leaguer, but who also played in the Negro Leagues. He is pictured here as a member of the Magallanes team in the Venezuelan League.
