1946-47 Propagandas Montiel #23 of Negro Leaguer Lazaro Salazar. Grade a 1 by PSA. Lazaro Salazar might be the most underrated player in baseball history. An incredibly two-way player, he was also one of the greatest managers ever, winning 14 championships in 4 different countries. He was the player-manager of the legendary 1937 Ciudad Trujillo team featuring Josh Gibson and Satchel Paige. He played for the Cuban Stars West and New York Cubans in the Negro Leagues. He won the Cuban League batting title 4 times and was a star hitter AND pitcher wherever he went. In Mexico in 1957, during a game was managing for the Mexico City team, he had a cerebral hemorrhage and collapsed in the dugout. He died in the hospital the next day. He was 45 years old. Salazar is a member of the Hall of Fame in Cuba, Mexico, and Venezuela. And he absolutely deserves a plaque in Cooperstown.

This is not because SGC is more lenient than PSA. They are not. But they are more accurate. All you have to do is send me a scan of the card once it's out of the holder, so I can see it hasn't been damaged (it can be difficult to crack cards out safely) and then let me know what grade SGC gave it.
