1945-46 Caramelo Deportivo #30 of HOF Negro Leaguer, Raymond Brown. One of the nicer examples known, it was given a 1.5 by PSA, because they are a garbage company. It was cracked out and sent to SGC, where I felt it would be graded accurately, however SGC has changed something in the last 6 months to a year where half of all Caramelo Deportivo cards now come back as "Minimum Size Not Met" (as this one did) so I cracked that out as well. It is now raw. I've sent hundreds and hundreds of Caramelo Deportivo cards to SGC over the last 20 years and never had one receive that label. I'm going to be talking to them at the National in Chicago to get them to fix this because this card is absolutely not undersized. There are cards of three HOF Negro Leaguers in this auction, and it is the same story with all of them. Hopefully SGC will resolve this issue at the National and these can get properly graded (if the winning bidder wants them in a slab) because all three are really nice examples. None of them are undersized in any way.
