1950-51 Toleteros In Action card #90 featuring Negro Leaguers Piper Davis and Tetelo Vargas. Piper Davis was Willie Mays' mentor when he played for the Birmingham Black Barons in the Negro Leagues as a teenager. Tetelo Vargas is one of the most underappreciated players in the history of baseball. He's one of the great Dominican player of all time, and holds the single season MLB record for batting average in a single season.

In addition to the incredible image of Tetelo sliding into third, the remarkable thing about this particular card is the condition. It has been graded an 8 by SGC. The next highest example is a 5. SGC has a graded a total of 470 cards from the 1950-51 Toleteros In Action set. A total of 4 cards have received a grade of 8, with none higher. They have graded a total of 846 cards from the regular 1950-51 Toleteros set, with 9 cards receiving a grade of 8, with none higher. Between the two, SGC has graded a total of 1,286 cards, with 14 cards grading as high as an 8, and none higher. This is a monster card.
