Lot Description

1920s snapshot of Pablo "Champion" Mesa. Mesa, along with Oscar Charleston and Alejandro Oms, formed what is considered the greatest outfield in Cuban baseball history as a member of the 1923-24 Santa Clara team. It's unclear if the other gentlemen in the photo are teammates, but all are dapper looking fellows and the ladies seem to agree. Measures about 4 1/2" by 2 3/4". Originates from Mesa's estate.
