Buck O'Neil was, and is, one of the most beloved figures in all of baseball. He is certainly worthy of induction into the Hall of Fame, and will probably make it at some point. He has only two known baseball cards, both of which are highly sought after due to his popularity. His 1946-47 Almanaque Deportivo is much tougher than his 1946-47 Caramelo Deportivo, which rarely surfaces.
This example has an error back that lists him as being "Raquel Antunez." But make no mistake, that's definitely Buck O'Neil. Or is it Darryl Strawberry? No, it's a right-hander, so it must be Buck!
There were a group of cards that were printed with incorrect backs, presumably all from the same sheet. I've included examples of some of the others, next to ones with the correct back, including Buck O'Neil. This lot contains only one card, the Buck O'Neil with the "Raquel Antunez" back. The others are just to show examples of incorrect backs within the set. There is some paper loss on the back and it is technically low-grade, but it's a rare and important card that is almost never seen.
