1950-51 Fosforos La Aurora cards are some of the toughest Cuban baseball cards that exist. They were issued on matchboxes, most of which were thrown away. When they do surface, it is one or two at a time, with no large groups known. There is no complete checklist, and it's not clear how many cards are in the set. All of that makes the offering in this lot truly remarkable. It is, by far, the largest group of 1950-51 Fosforos La Aurora cards known, and by far the largest group ever offered for sale or auction. While the exact number of cards in the set is unknown, it's safe to say this is a near-complete set, as there are 40 cards in this lot. Includes:
