1945-46 Caramelo Deportivo album complete with all 100 cards, including one of the Holy Grails of Cuban baseball card collecting, card #73 of Napoleon Reyes. The Reyes card was issued as a chase card that you could only get if you completed the album with all 99 other cards. You would then take your album to the factory where they would glue in the Reyes card. This one is trimmed, but it is still remarkable to find a complete album that has the Reyes card. The last album to sell publicly was in December of 2020 and it went for $3,500 WITHOUT the Reyes. The set is one of the most popular Cuban issues due to the great selection of player which includes many Negro Leaguers like HOFers Martín Dihigo, Ray Dandridge, and Ray Brown, as well as future HOFer Orestes "Minnie" Miñoso. Other star Negro Leaguers include Lazaro Salazar, Booker McDaniels, Julio Rojo, Bartolo Portuondo, Pedro Formental, Cecil Kaiser, Cocaína García, Terris McDuffie, Alejandro Crespo, Silvio García, Carlos Colas, Luis Tiant, Hector Rodriguez, Lloyd Davenport, Ramon Bragaña, Avelino Cañizares and others. There are also several Major Leaguers who played in Cuba that year like Sal Maglie, Beto Avila, and Dick Sisler, as well as some of the great all-time Cuban players in their later years as managers and coaches like Adolfo Luque, Miguel Gonzalez, and Armando Marsans.
