Uncut sheet of 1946-47 Caramelo Deportivo cards. It's amazing that an uncut sheet of Cuban baseball cards from the 1940s survived intact. Around 20 years ago, there was a find in Cuba that included this sheet and 6 or 7 others just like it. The backs of each sheet are very lightly printed, to the point that the is hard to even read. That is most likely the reason these sheets were never cut up and distributed as individual cards.
What's even more amazing is that this particular sheet, which contains only 30 different cards, contains cards of the only HOFers in the entire set, Martin Dihigo and Ray Dandridge. More amazing still is the fact that there are 3 examples of each! There are also 3 examples of Minoso and several other Negro Leaguers. Because of the amazing player selection, most of the sheets from the original find have sadly been cut up and sold as individual cards. You can always tell cards that were cut from one of these sheets by the extremely light printing on the backs. As a result of this butchery, only around 3 sheets are still known to exist. This one has a small amount of tape on the bottom edge near the right, although there is no tear so it's unclear why it was put there. There is also a hole on the right edge near the bottom that affects one of the Claro Duany cards. The sheet measures 25" by 19" and contains a total of 91 cards. 29 different cards have 3 cards each, and there are 4 of Negro Leaguer, Lloyd "Ducky" Davenport. The cards are the sheet are:
